AU | How do I verify my account?

 

As a regulated entity, Wealth99 is required to identify all platform users to ensure compliance with KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) laws. This process protects both the platform and your investments. You can learn more about why account verification is necessary here.

To verify your account, please follow the steps below.

 


 

Get Started

2. Click 'Start Verification'.

3. Provide the requested information about yourself, completing each section before clicking ‘Next’ to continue.

  • Account Purpose & Source of Funds: Select the main purpose of your account and your source of funds from the dropdown menus, then click ‘Next’.

  • Employment: Enter your current occupation, click 'Next'.

  • Residency: Enter your full residential address details, then click ‘Next’.

Preparation & Technical Requirements

4. Before proceeding to the identity capture, ensure you have the following ready:

  • Valid ID: Original Australian Driver’s License or Passport at hand (digital copies or photocopies are not accepted).

  • Device: A device with a working camera (a mobile device is highly recommended for better image quality).

  • Connection: Disable any VPN services to prevent any issues.

5. Click ‘Continue’, then ‘Begin Verifying’.

6. Enter your full name and date of birth (DOB) exactly as they appear on your physical ID.

7. Now it's time to submit a picture of your ID document.

  • Select ID Type: Choose the issuing country and the type of document (Driver’s Licence or Passport).

  • Capture Image: Click the camera icon to photograph your ID. Use a well-lit area to avoid shadows or glare. If you need to switch devices to take the photo, you can do so by clicking 

    If you need to change devices to take the photo, click ‘Continue on another device’. You will then be prompted to scan a QR code with the other device’s camera, allowing you to complete the remaining steps of the process on that device.

  • Review & Submit: Check that the photo is clear and all text is readable. Ensure all four corners of the document are visible. If it looks good, click ‘Use this photo'. If not, retake the photo.

8. Follow the on-screen prompts to look straight at the camera and move your head as directed. Please remove any hats or glasses and ensure your face is well-lit.

Processing & Next Steps
  • Timeline: We aim to complete the review within 2 business days.

  • Notifications: You will receive an email once approved or if a fix is required (e.g., if an image was too blurry). Please monitor your Junk/Spam folders.

  • Security: Once verified, you must activate Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) via Google Authenticator for account safety.
