Changes to USDT (Tether) at Wealth99 Global

 

What’s Happening?

As part of our ongoing commitment to compliance and adapting to changes in the crypto landscape, we’re making an important update. Starting on March 31, 2025, Wealth99 Global will no longer support USDT (Tether) as a stablecoin for our clients.

 

Why is This Happening?

This change comes in response to the new MiCA regulations in the European Union. These regulations set strict requirements for stablecoins in the EU market, and to stay fully compliant, we must adjust our offerings. The regulations aim to improve market stability, protect consumers, and ensure that cryptocurrency businesses operate transparently and securely. By aligning with these standards, we can continue to offer you the best and most secure experience on our platform.

 

What Does This Mean for You?

Here’s what you need to know about the USDT changes:

  • Delisting of USDT: After March 31, 2025, you won’t be able to deposit, withdraw, buy, sell, or transfer USDT on Wealth99 Global.
  • Automatic Conversion to USDC: On the same date, all remaining USDT balances in your account will be automatically converted to USDC (USD Coin), a widely accepted stablecoin. This will happen seamlessly, and you’ll see your new USDC balance in your account with no action required.
  • Continued USDC Functionality: After the conversion, USDC will remain available for deposit, trading, and transfers just like any other asset on the platform.

 

How Does This Affect You?

If you hold USDT on Wealth99 Global, here’s what to expect:

  • Automatic Conversion: Your USDT holdings will be automatically converted to USDC on March 31, 2025. The process will be smooth, and you won’t need to do anything. Your funds will continue to be available without disruption.
  • Trade Before the Deadline: If you prefer not to have your USDT converted to USDC, you can trade your USDT for other assets before the deadline.

For Wealth99 Australia Customers: This update does not affect you. USDT will continue to be available for deposit and trading activities on the Australian platform.
